GLENN HUGHES: Rescheduled London Date Announced

October 26, 2006

Due to "unforeseen circumstances," GLENN HUGHES' (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) Classic Rock-sponsored Shepherd's Bush Empire show in London, England on October 29 will now take place on Sunday, March 25, 2007. Original tickets will be valid for the new date. The other U.K. shows in Dudley (Oct. 28) and Northampton (Oct. 31) will go ahead as planned.

Hughes recently announced his new touring band as Jeff Kollman on guitar, Mark Mondesir on drums and Anders Olinder on keyboards.

"As with most artists I admire, I felt it necessary and the right time to play with exciting new players," Hughes explained. "I want to be pushed and I want to be challenged and it will bring something new and inspirational to my shows. I have thought long and hard about this and now is the right time for a change."

Hughes' latest solo album, "Music for the Divine", is available now on Frontiers Records. The CD was recorded in Chad Smith's (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) house in Los Angeles and again features Smith on drums and longtime Glenn Hughes collaborator JJ Marsh on guitar. Also featured are RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS guitarist John Frusciante and Mark Killian, who has provided the string arrangements and keyboards.
